Hello guys - curious if anyone is using the SVS SB16 Ultra dual subs for hifi or is this more of a home theater kinda speaker? I'm looking for tight punchy bass in the "80-120 area....not boomy house shaking bottom...

What you're asking for requires that your subs are crossed fairly high, i.e.: 80Hz on up, so you'd have to high-passed your Harbeth main speakers in a similar region - is that what you want or intend? Not that this is a bad idea, on the contrary I'd say, but if 80-120Hz is where you feel something's lacking you may be after other main speakers? On the other hand, once properly high-passed the Harbeth's would "live up" in their upper bass - coupled to fitting subs, that is.
I owned a single SVS SB16-Ultra a few years back. Not what I would call a mid bass savvy sub, which is the region you're inquiring on, but rather more capable in the sub bass. The bass that it produces is quite "tight" and has great weight in the lower octaves for its size, but to my ears it suffers a bit of overhang and, again, is somewhat lethargic sounding in the upper bass (if it's crossed that high).
For your wishes (or so I gather) I'd look for Power Sound Audio subs, namely either the vented TV2112, or sealed S2112 iteration. Price-wise they're close to the SVS. Two of those augmenting your Harbeth would be a powerful and well-sounding solution - properly integrated/implemented, of course.
