Supratek capacitor- vs. transformer-coupling...

Since Supratek.biz seems to be offline (hope you're ok, Mick!), a quick query, if I may, for the Supratek community. The microswitch on the left side of my Syrah has two positions. To the left the output is less, things sound (to these ears) more precise; to the right, higher output, more lush. I suspect (but am not sure) that one of these is capacitor-coupling, the other transformer-coupling. Outputting into an Art Audio Jota I usually prefer the louder setting, but certainly not always.

Might anyone clarify for me the difference between these two microswitch settings? And if anyone has opinions to offer up as to which you prefer, I'm all ears.
