Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows

My last post about MUSIC was taken down by a moderator. I was interested in what folks would say, but apparently, it was not appropriate.

So, this time, I'd like to see if there are comments about different versions of the following songs:

"Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows"
"Everything is Beautiful"
"I'm a Believer,"
"Dancing on the Ceiling" and
"Walking on Sunshine."

No strife, discord, bad language, anything negative, please. In this God-given and perfect world, we have nothing but happy things to discuss.

Commercialization of this ethos helped to create a sense of phoniness and cynicism towards this movement.

Reminds me of the part of Mad Men when Draper goes to the EST retreat and gets the idea for the Coke slogan. One great book on this was Thomas Frank’s The Conquest of Cool, which explained how corporations coopted "cool" for their purposes.

is this thread some sort of psychological thought research/experiment you’re working on?

If so, bearing lots of fruit here. And it hasn’t been taken down, so clearly the way to avoid censorship on this forum is to pinch out a smile and let everyone comment.

Was wondering about alternative versions of specific songs, but clearly improvisation is more fun (and easier).

Think of this thread as the monolith in 2001. Touch the monolith and be transformed!

I should probably have added, "It Can't Happen Here," by FZ. If only Karen Carpenter had covered it...
