To my ears there are improvements with this update. Greater separation within the drum kit, more airiness overall, back up singers dropped back further behind lead vocals.. The only area that seems adversely affected is in the mid-range bass, seems to permeate the room in an exaggerated way (in fairness, my towers are a bit close to the wall). Asked my wife if she could hear any differences, she said "no, please turn it down".
