Check out the SVS subs. Not only do they perform well but integration into a given system is much easier due to their bluetooth app that runs on your phone. This allows adjusting the included PEQ function, drive levels, phase and crossover frequency and the associated filter from your listening position. No more getting up and down to adjust a level or phase control or crossover point. The PC2000 Pros, the model I have, is a column sub with both RCA and XLR inputs. I am using RCA inputs with no hum or groundloop issues at all. They are totally silent when not playing music. They occasionally have these listed in their open box area for a discount off retail. I am quite happy with mine.
