Subwoofer Placement


can you place a sub in a cabinet underneath your TV, having the door of the cabinet grill cloth?

In a word, no. Subs need room to breathe. You will have a booming, very directional sound with muddied bass. I suggest you either place the sub out into the room or do without and run the speakers full frequency. If needed, you could disguise the sub as an end table or place a cloth over the top. Even so, the placement in the room needs to be done carefully so as to maximize the potential of the sub. Good luck!
