Sub at the weakest bass point in a room?

Has anyone gotten good results placing a sub in the weakest bass point. For me that is the center of the room in both directions. I know I should try it and see, but it’s heavy to move and I thought it would be okay to ask first.

thanks Eric,
I do have a second sub (both Velodyne DD15), but one is out for repair. I thought to put one in the center, and when the other comes back I will place it against the wall behind the speakers, but off to one side.
