You do realize that your SDS has a built in hour counter. Also, you can buy a plug in watt consumption meter that has a time function so you don’t have to do perform any math, just a simple timer and total watts consumed.
Stylus Timer using smart outlet
Just passing this along, seems to work. I plugged my VPI SDS/ turntable into a smart outlet that tracks power consumption. Not knowing what it drew, I ran the turntable until it consumed .1 KWH. It took 320 minutes to consume .1 KWH. From that I calculated the power consumption per watt/hour and used that in conjunction with the KWH stats on the app to calculate the hours the platter had spun, which is pretty close to the hours on the stylus. The app tracks consumption by day, week, month and year. I’m using an outlet similar to this one, there are of course other options.
