Steve Tibbits

Thank you for whoever mentioned Steve.  I picked up a nice promo copy off Discogs and I just love it. It has all those little things that make for some great laid back relaxing listening along with some more stirring cuts as well.  One of the things I love about Audiogon forums. I'm pretty into the ECM stuff right now and this is exactly what I was hoping for from this label.  I love the atmospheric and airy production, it's compelling and deeply relaxing.  Almost new age but that wouldn't be right either. I don't know doesn't matter though these labels. So thank you to whomever and Audiogon for these free forums.

Glad you've discovered Mr. Tibbetts, he's one of my all time favorites. I've purchased everything he's released over the years and he never fails to reward with interesting music. "Safe Journey" is my all time favorite. His collaborations with Choying Drolma ( "Cho" and "Selwa") are well worth exploring if you're inclined to enjoy that genre of music. The only collaboration he participated in that I never really totally loved was "A" with the Finnish violinist Knut Hamre. My intellect appreciated it but just never emotionally resonated the way the others have.
