How does the Stan Warren moded Aiwa xc37 CD player sound used as a transport?

I think I read it is a Duoptic interconnect (whatever that is?)? If a MSB Link DAC is the right way to go with the Aiwa, do you know how much Stan's Mod is for the Link DAC? I could call, but I don't wish to bother him if I can avoid it. Thanks!
