Spindle/bearing noise measurement

I would like to compare the noise levels from different combinations of spindle and housing.

Can anybody suggest how I might achieve this?

I have an oscilloscope.

Hello Graham. I use a good tonearm and disposable cartridge, with the stylus resting on the housing.
