3000SL stands for transport......and DMC-30 is possible best solid state pre out there now.
The DMC-30 line stage is better than DMC-20 line stage for sure.If you don't phono get 30 with 150S2....Make sure that you do have a high quality source. GOOD LUCK

There is a new version of the DMC-30 preamp, called DMC-30SL
I haven't heard much about it, but the price is supposed to be "under 10k.
