There are some products especially made for heating vents to stop some of the sound. Also, it would pay to put the air handlers on shock mounts. In the end lining the ceiling with lead paper might be the only way to go. I did a room many years ago and used lead paper to great effect.
Soundproofing basement ceiling..
I bought a new house and I am installing my home theater system in a 20x14x7 foot basement rec room. I have a soft tiled drop ceiling and wanted to get some cheap soundproofing ideas. My floor is thick carpet about 1inch thick. Anybody??Please & thanx!!
