Sound of Windows USB 2.0 audio driver
Yesterday, I have Win 10 installed in a new version, so I killed Thesycon’s USB 2.0 audio driver for the Berkeley Alpha USB / DAC frontend, after which Windows set up a new USB Audio 2.0 Class Driver.
It seemed to me that the sound was a bit more transparent. However, it also seemed to me that piano became thinner, to lose some body.
I came back to Thesycon and everything came back to old. Piano got the body back.
But this is an ad hoc impression, not a research.
Has anybody tried it yet?
