Sony STRDA777ES Receiver Problems

I have an old 777ES Receiver that has been great for many years. The protections circuit suddenly started kicking in and now goes off after about 20 seconds after power up. Nothing is connected to the receiver at all.

Anybody know how bad this is? I would like to get it repaired and hear that Sony will still fix them.

Any ideas would be appreciated. If you know somebody who repairs things in the Bay Area, that would be helpful too.
