Sonus Faber Sonetto III

Late response but I auditioned them with a nad m10 and they were very impressive.

I own a pair they are very musical speakers.They are made for a small or medium size room.

The Sf Sonetto 3 are nice speakers for sure. 

I auditioned a pair head to head with the Focal Aria 926 in my listening room.  Amplification was PS Audio S300 with Mullard valved pre.   The SF excelled with strings and voice.  But the Focals were better with a wider range of music so I kept them.  The big knock that I could not get over with the FB's was the cheesy plastic base that screwed into the speaker with small wood screws. Maybe thats different now.

I agree that they are awesome speakers. I auditioned both the III and the V. Ultimately bought the V's for room size and extended base. You can't go wrong the the III's as SF speakers are very amp matching friendly, and the mids and highs are exceptional without being muddy or fatiguing. It really just depends on your base needs/desires. The drivers are the same except the V's have 2 180 mm base drivers, whereas the III's have 2 150 mm base drivers.
