Sometimes you have to change you

When listening to something you regard as not sounding good today but sounded great yesterday, you have to ask yourself is the problem with the source or with you?  Oftentimes when I’m in such a situation I have to recalibrate my ears to accept what’s playing.  In other words change my mind set.
That often works.
How about you?

Sns,

I agree.  Sometimes playing a known great sounding CD or stream will ground me to realize it’s not the system that’s faulty.  I can then go on to listen to lesser quality sources and realize their flaws are not system related.

True to form, today I’m a happy camper.  My system sounds just great.

Yesterday I couldn’t stand it!
