I really enjoy having a mono switch as it helps me understand where the center "should" be, as often times I experience the center image sliding to one side or the other. It provides a quick mental reset for me, helping me to enjoy the music more.
Solid state preamp with a mono switch and remote
I have been a tube guy for quite some time, but would like to pick up a good quality solid state preamp with remote control and a mono switch, just to have as a reference point.
Im looking for recommendations for great sounding units under $5k.
The mono switch seems to be the limiting factor, i checked out the latest “Recommended Components” list and all of the “reasonably priced” solid state options lacked the mono function.
