Small Sub w/ Connectivity

I am looking at adding a sub to my system and want it to be more toward the musical side, and not to take up too much space. My two choices at this point are the REL Q150E and the MJ Acoustics Pro50 - both about 12" cubes.

I prefer the look of a down-firing sub like the MJ, but I am leaning toward the Q150E mainly because of their connection options. As I understand their unit, you can connect both the high level inputs AND the LFE simultaneously, and USE them both simultaneously. In other words, it can assist your mains at the same time it is doing the .1 info. This setup will also allow use in a source direct or stereo mode. The MJ and almost any other, from what I can tell, only allow you to use one input or the other (low or high level) at a time. Can anyone confirm that I have this correct?

Also, do I have any other options with my constraints/preferences -- small, down-firing, simultaneous high/low input use, musical?

TIA,
Chris

>>I think the REL Q201E is smaller

No, actually the 150 is smaller - but basically they're the same size, give or take a few mm.

>>You should also consider the REL ST series (STratus, STorm, etc). More musical, but not as much slam for movies.

Would love to, but even the Stratus - which is the cheapest ST - is beyond what I wanted to spend. Actually, the Q150E is beyond what wanted to spend too, but I'm willing to stretch it a bit for the connection flexibility.
