small powered monitor; Yamaha vs Fostex

I am interested in getting a small pair of powered monitors to use with a USB DAC and my computer for listening to Radio and music. Two that are within the general price range and size that I am looking at are the Yamaha MSP3 and Fostex PM 04. Has anyone heard either of these speakers and can offer a description as to their sound?
