Sly Stone

Sly Stone passed away. I always thought Sly and the Family Stone were pioneers and influenced some of the best jazz/rock bands that we have today.

Questlove's documentary on Sly Stone is highly recommended. Using archival clips, the film charts Sly Stone's rise from a Bay Area DJ to wild years with his band, the Family Stone. It illustrates Stone navigating fame before spiraling into drug addiction.

I always felt that him and his band's performance at the '' original and only '' Woodstock was amazing. It was just as good as ; Santana's and Ten Years After . I hope he is up there and ; " Dancin' to that f''in music ...."
