I am using Sim W5 amp and very happy with it from price vs perfomance standpoint. Sim W5 is one of the best buy today. Never listened nor did I owned an Arye so cannot comment on that.
I have listened to both and I think (for solid state) they are both very very good. I think it will come down to a personal preference. I think the Ayre sounds a little more tube-like in the midrange but I also think the Sim is more extended on top. I really think you should audition both units ir order to insure true synergy in your particular application. Regards, Mike
