Simaudio Eclipse stock, mod, or LE?

I am greatly enjoying my Sim Moon W-5/P-5 combo, partic. now that I'm finally running them balanced! In auditioning over the past year for an upgrade to my digital source, I'm pretty sold on the Eclipse (only auditioned the stock version) - when fully balanced, there's just something about the combined synergy within these three components. My question is, to those who have had the opportunity to compare, are there significant sonic improvements with the LE version over the stock? I've also had it recommended to me by more than one audiophile that several modding options (Audiomod, etc.) exist for the stock Eclipse, which I wonder, for the investment, could this option produce better sonic results than whatever the LE can offer? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
