I do not have experience with the Hydra. I do have a BPT 3.5 Sig.. I have run a VAC 70/70 and a Bryston 4B SST through it and have found that I clearly liked them better connected to the BPT unit. The noise floor dropped considerably. Micro dynamics improved. Everything sounds more nimble. I have an appt. to have a sub panel and several dedicated lines installed. I am going to try each amp into its own 20 amp line to see how that compares to the BPT. I will post the results.
Shunyata, Balanced Audio and Equi-Tech....Help
Current system is older Rowland gear, ( amp and pre-amp ) Cec TL-0, Avalon Eclipse's, Theta ProGen Va and Purist Audio Dominus and Proteus cables/cords.....I have never been an advocate for power conditioners...but between these companies ( and others ) from what I am reading, it does seem that the technology has come a long way and now these companies are making products that don't compress, restrict or choke out a nice two channel system.......So, which of these three comapnies would YOU suggest for a power conditioner for my system ????
