Pretty small subset of people that have tried both cables, speakers and the other components in your system. It seems that an in house trial would be your safest approach. I know that Music Direct carrys both with generous no questions asked return and they probably will work with you on price. Likely other vendors will do the same.
Shunyata Alpha v2 speaker cables
Anyone who has experience with these cables? A good match with Magnepans or would a pair of Nordost Frey2 be a better match? What are your thoughts?

Of course they will work with you on price - margins on these are huge. If I had a $5K budget I'd buy these (they sell direct only) and pocket the margin, unless you want bragging rights. I have their entry level Nova's that are far superior to the Nordost Purple Flares at twice the price, which I sold for half what I paid. And yes, I know that Nordost's lower level offerings aren't all that but the margin equation is the same.
