Shortening REL Subwoofer Cables

I just got a G1 MK2 sub.  Only Bassline Blue cable the dealer had was 10m whereas I need about 9 feet.  I'm assuming there's no reason I couldn't cut the cable at the spade ends down to about 9 feet or so and re-terminate with Furutech spades.  I typically don't like to coil cables if I don't have to (nothing good can come of it) so I thought maybe I could just cut the cable down to a reasonable length.

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays all.

Doesn't simply redoing the Neutrik Speakon plug end make things easier?

Maybe.  a) I didn't want to mess with the plug.  b) I figured the Furutech spades were better than what was supplied.
You should be able to order the Bassline Blue in a shorter length. I bought mine in a 3 meter through my dealer but it had to be ordered out from REL. Why pay for 10 meter if you only need 3?
can't see where it would be a problem.  Doh.

I already ordered Furutech spades so I can shorten that cable.
Thanks for the response.  I can see where it would be a problem using the Bassline Blue either.  Dealer only had the 10m length.
When I got my Rel B3 I cut the wire down to about 12ft. Not a problem at all.
