Sherwood Newcastle P965 PreAmp Processor - No Audio Problem


I am having a problem with my P965 . After turning the unit off it normally goes into standby mode and a blue lite shines on the face of the unit. Now when I turn it off the lite turns yellow . When i turn the unit on it goes to the correct source and the lite turns back to blue but I get no audio. In order to get audio I have to manually hit the decoding button till I see AUTO on the display - then I get sound. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and how I can correct it ?

Can anyone tell me how I can find out if i have the latest software update ?

I went online and found only a Texas phone # for Sherwood Newcastle but it seemed to be disconnected. I also contacted Jeff Hipps directly but he was not able to help me due to he left a long time ago. He said he thought that Sherwood Newcastle no longer has a presence here in the USA.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!!

I used to have this pre-pro.  Have you reached out to Sherwood?  They were very helpful whenever I needed help.  Perhaps this is a software glitch that can be fixed with an update.
