Shelter 501
I have a back-up Shelter501 that has about 450hrs on it.
It's very sensible to any even slight record warps or bumps or scratches. When it comes to play warped record or slightly worse than VG+ it starts jumping. I started setting VTF to the specified maximum of 1.75g but still it's not stable. The cantilever seems to be perfectly straight and sounds great as well with no issues at any part of record. The Lyra that I have(only ~140h) sits tight even when my kids want to dance on the hardwood floor. I now have Technoarm on my Michell Gyro SE table.
Is this common Shelter problem or it's a re-tip contender?
