Sharp Electronics is one of those Japanese (at least back in the day) based corporations that make the full range of consumer electronics from TVs to microwaves to calculators. Think Hitachi.
Sharp made stereos, but once you graduated from mass consumer electronics as your listening source to more specialized manufacturers, one would never consider Sharp as a brand to own. Frankly, I hadn't thought about Sharp in decades.
There are some YouTube videos about this particular electronics stack. Seems to be about 30/ 35 years old. Appears to have minimal electronics in a big chassis. Don't know about its sound. Doubt I would invest money in it, unless you see DIY opportunities.
