I had the same dilemma sometime back. I was using an AVR to drive Kef LS50s but wanted to get into 2 channel. I was limited to a smallish room. I picked up a used Peachtree Nova 150 which has HT bypass as suggested by the folks above.
I connected the front out of the AVR to the Aux/HT Bypass input of the Nova 150 and it worked like a charm. As Erik mentioned; when the Nova was in HT bypass mode, the AVR controlled the volume.
My scenario was further complicated by the need to share my subwoofer between the two systems (love the LS50s but not very much bass) . I used a Schiit Sys to share the sub. It worked a treat but required manually flicking the Sys between the AVR and Nova 150.
Your Lyngdorf has HT bypass and the owners manual walks you through the configuration. Just pick up that interconnect @imhififan mentioned.
