Yes, it is true.(in my experience). Recently added the Audiolab DC blocker. There was no doubt, clarity took a major leap. However, warmth and musical pleasure in some indescribable way took leave from my system. It was a tough choice actually since my "audiophile" brain said this is indisputably cleaner (I heard cymbals as never before but) once I took it out, woo freckin hoo, my music was back!!! Then I had to ask myself if I preferred a cozy warm blurry sound to the over hot mic crisp sound. "Conflicted" was followed by self loathing because "we" always insist purity is the goal but I had reach the sunlit uplands and couldn't stand the glare of the unobscured sun. I guess I don't want the X-ray glasses as much as I thought I did.
