Schiit Bifrost 2/64 to Holo Audio, anyone?

I’m on the fence about upgrading from my Schiit Bifrost 2 to either the Holo Audio Spring or May. I’ve heard them both and like them. I think they’re improvements over the Schiit. Smoother treble, more articulate soundstage width and depth, tonal authenticity, fuller bass -- all better by about 3-5% or so. So far as I can recall.

Problem is, I’ve only heard them for relatively short periods. Thus, I’m wondering if the expenditure is worth it.

I know -- I have to try it in my system, over time, etc. I get that. But since the Holo products do not have a trial period, I’m curious about others’ experiences. And, I know I could re-sell for a pretty good percentage return if I keep it in great shape.

So -- if you have upgraded from a Schiit DAC (especially the Bifrost) to the Holo series, what was your experience?

I realize this question may be a bit too tailored, so I’m prepared (as Hume said about his Treatise) to watch it fall stillborn from the press.
