vs. a stock Sony SCD 1 your Muse 2 combo will sound better on red book disks. using the Sony as a transport feeding the Muse 2 would probably improve the sound over the Theta basic for Red Book playback as its a better transport sonically.

I'm considering the upgrade to SACD with leaning to the Sony SCD1. But i don't want to reduce CD quality. I'm currently using the Theta Basic into a Muse2 via AES/EBU connections. Would my CD replay be reduced via the Sony? Alternatively, can you recommend a wonderful SACD AND CD player?
