Samsung DLP - best choice for the Money

.

After looking around reading a few consumer comments, I am contemplating getting a 46” Samsung DLP HDTV (HL-R4677W 46-IN HDTV DLP Rear Projection Television with Cable CARD Slot) which I believe to be their latest version
.
Space in a wall unit is a limit and that is why I am settling on the 46” set.
.
Does anyone know if Samsung is coming out with any new technology in the near future that would have me wait until it arrives ?
.
Any comments on Samsung picture quality versus and of the other similar TV’s (I have decided against plasma and the more expensive LCD versions) ?
.
Any recommendations of websites and or reviews that I can find to study a bit more on the subject ?
.
Any recommendations on the cheapest/best place to buy a Samsung ?

All comments are welcomed.
.
Thanks,
Larry

I bought a Samsung HLN 50 " DLP from Best Buy in '03. They matched the offer on AVS forum's source at that time. And, they threw in a 3 year extended service, thank goodness for that. Samsung has so many models coming out that its a "parts madness" when it comes to repair. When my lamp went out, the replacement bulb called for on the site didn't match the housing. Then the repair company doing the warranty work couldn't match the color wheel and the ballast and a couple of other parts. Now I have it back, but the fan is noisy...I'm told by the repair guys its that way with all the brands, all the way up to Plasmas costing 9K a few years ago, but bringing much less than that today. The unit I paid 3200 for is bringing 1800 for a new HLP model. It costs more to fix than to buy a new one, but none of the warranty companies will give you a new one til they've had three cracks at fixing the unit, and that means three separate tickets!
