SACD search for $4k-6k

Just 31?I have had great help from car sales associates and audio dealers as well.Just a peek at the shiny side of the coin.The audio market like the car and car audio are not new markets and there are many fine flavors,just ask Ben or Jerry those sinister ice cream pushers,they even let us taste the different ones,but darn that turned my vanilla and chocolate world upside down.I am ruined...do you think they'll run for office next?

Listen guys reviewers reminds me of car salesman,everytime

Yep he does have the MF player but he does want the Krell.
And at 4k its the lower end of DrJohns price walls inc tax.
The Musical fidelity would be over upper limit unless used.
But then used would be w/o a warranty .
Krell has 5years.Must say he should try to audition one period.
One caveat,SACD may not make it.

Or you could save a few (ok, more than a few) bucks and consider a Xindak SCD-2.

Fremer reminds me of Baskins-Robbins 31 flavors. He's got a new favorite flavor every month. The Tri-Vista is an excellent player...period.

Consider a used Classe Omega. I believe that there is one on Audiogon now. Disclaimer, I'm not the seller and don't know him, yada yada.

I second the SCD1, ask Dan Wright and Richard Kern
for the mod.Sony are 2k now, this might save you money.
Or the audience mod Sony 9000es.

FWIW - I have my Marantz SA-1 up for sale here. Has been upgraded with the new SuperClockII....simply amazing resolution. E-mail me if you are interested.

Just get an SCD-1 and be done with it, and save 3-4K. (throw those into Mods if you must spend the $.) Higher-priced (but not necessarily better) players would include aforementioned Teac DV-50 or for a more exotic choice, the Luxman.
Trivista: seen it, heard it, definitely unimpressive, esp. @ the (over)price.

I would have let the Krell Standard burn in a little longer, prior to throwing in the towel.

I'd hold out for a Tri-Vista....one is bound to pop up.

You might want to audition the Esoteric DV-50. Mine is not fully broken in yet, but its performance is very impressive so far.

A couple days ago there was a used Marantz SA-1 for 3K
or you can usaully find an accuphase dp-75v for around 5.5k either would be a good choice for thier respective price.
