Rowland Synergy IIi vs. Sim Audio P5

I am considering a new pre-amp to match with my Rowland Model 12 mono power amps.

The JRDG SynergyIIi and the Sim Audio P5 were both recommended as viable options.

Has anyone compared these two pre-amps?

If so, how did they compare and what was the associated equpment used when you compared them.

Thanks

I HAVE THE SIM AND USED TO HAVE THE SYNERGY. THE SYNERGY IS HANDS DOWN BETTER. THE NOISE FLOOR IS DROP IS EXCEPTIONAL. THE LOOK IS MORE CONSISTANT WITH THE 12'S.
THE SIM IS GOOD BUT THE ROWLAND IS IN ANOTHER LEAGUE.
I HAVE THE COHERENCE 2 WITH A 8T W/ BATTERY PS IN MY MAIN SYSTEM AND THE SYNERGY IS 90 PERCENT AS GOOD AS THE COHERENCE. IN MY EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE TO 3X'S THE PRICE TO GET 10 PERCENT.
HOPE THIS HELPS, KRIS
I have the Rowland Synergy IIi and I tried a lot of equipment prior (except the SIM since I had such aweful luck with their W5 amplifier).

It really is an outstanding piece, but I have realized that since Rowland equipment is truely balanced it does sound better when run in balanced mode. My next $$$ upgrade.

The fit and finish and quality is amazing as you already know by your monoblocks.
