ROON help needed

So, I finally tried Roon, (got a deal for a 60 day free trial) without really knowing what the hell I was doing and of course, I am even more confused than before.

I went to listen to Tidal yesterday and found under "My Music"/Albums on Tidal that it now had more than doubled the amount of titles in this file?  Over 90% of what was added, I would never listen to.

I first thought that someone got into my Tidal account and added all of these.  I went into Tidal and changed my password.  Then I found a way to see what date these titles were added.  It was more or less the same time I added Roon.  Is this what Roon does?  My playlists and artists were still all the same, (nothing was added to these files).

So far, I am not impressed with Roon.  I'm sure it's because I have no idea how to use the damn thing, but for the limited use I have with it, I have found very little use for it.

What am I doing wrong?

Roon’s DSP is very good.  This alone is a great feature.  Also you get much more including liner notes, album reviews, artist info, lyrics, artists similar to the one you like, artists that influenced the artist you like...
Agreed on PCs and laptops not being needed, but you can’t beat the SQ of Roon. Amazing with Tidal and your ripped CDs.  Highly suggested along with the Micro or UltraRendu.
Yes I do find that Tidal with Roon brings up the sound quality another notch. The DSP ability in Roon is yet another plus with no negatives I could hear. I use a light handed approach with the EQ with fantastic results. I find listening without DSP now rather unacceptable vs DSP engaged. It takes time to play around and fine tune the best settings in DSP. However once dialed in it is quite fantastic. I love the 2X Max PCM setting.  Roon is perhaps the best thing to happen in my audio rig in 35 years.
