Roon 1.7 Thoughts & Need Your Input

So, I finally decided to do the Roon "free trial" and utilized a MacMini dedicated to just running the Core. All other programs were stripped out of the OS. I found I really liked the Roon interface. Unfortunately, my computer didn't have enough horsepower to run the Roon app resulting in frequent dropouts. This MacMini has an SSD, 8 gb of ram etc. It does not have the latest and greatest OS but a  higher version than Roon requires.  I noticed the computer ran "hot" also. I did a system speed test and I have a very fast connection with a great router-modem set up. Would anyone comment on what they are using to successfully run the newest Roon version? Small Green Computer's sonic transporter, etc?

Should further add that I have my Roon Nucleus feeding a Chord Qutest direclty via Curious USB Cable in my main rig. I also have 4 other endpoints in the house (2 Bluesound Node N100, 1 Node Ni, and 1 Powernode N150).

Small Green Computer i5 will run Roon easily.  I moved Roon to the SGC six months ago.  No issues with DSD128 or any other files
Small Green Computer i7 Roon Only server. Currently same configuration is i9. No heat, nor performance issues for my i7 unit.
