Rookie Tube Question s

I have a pair of 6l6g push-pull monos, one of the two power tubes for the left channel does not glow at all. The sound in that channel is still working very well, although it is definitely worse than when the tubes were both glowing. Do I need to replace the tubes? Should I replace both channels (eg two mp) or just the two in the left channel (1 mp). Should I buy a matched quad? I know nothing about tubes as you can probably tell so any info is appreciated?

If the tube doesn't glow then it means the heater supply is not working. It could be tube or your heater supply circuit. Try tube replacement first. If same happens after tube swapping then it is very likely you have a broken heater supply circuit somehere. Pin 2 and 7 on the 6L6G are the heater supply pin outs. Back trace them to see if you have broken circuit somewhere.
