Found an AV forum and found a thread that indicated that the Oppo Blu-ray player had a HDMI and USB port on the front and this could be used with the Roku streaming stick. This works and we now have sound through our system, instead of the TV. Perhaps this can help someone else with my same dilemma.
Roku Streaming Stick Plus - using integrated amp
Hello everyone!
I recently added a Roku streaming stick to my Panasonic plasma. Having trouble getting sound through my Project integrated amp to Sonus Faber toy towers. Direct tv and Oppo bluray work through this, lines 1 and 2 respectively and through HDMI. Line 3 is available but no configuration I have tried with rca is giving me sound. Sound through tv is not great of course. Roku is HDMI to tv to usb on tv. What am I missing here? Thanks for any assistance.
