Rogue Cronus 2 vs 3

Thankyou all for your responses. I know they upgraded the phono and headphone circuits but it’s the sonic enhancements that I wish I could knew more about and as Arafiq was pointing out that’s one person opinion. The price difference is more than double. $1400  for a used unit. 

I have had a Cronus I and jumped straight to the iii. I noticed a big difference. The addition of the triode and ultra linear mode on the fly is great. I do tend to leave it at 60 watts as that seems to have a sweeter sound to me. I am not sure any of the upgrades benefit streaming but I only run a blue node streamer and play more vinyl and cd. I have Focal Aria 948's and the combo continues to blow me away.

I sold my CM 2 to someone. He had Rogue Audio upgrade it to 3.
According to this guy, it was a very noticeable difference … with 3 being substantially better than 2. However, I’m basing this on his opinion as I personally didn’t compare the two.

I just purchase a Cronus Magnum iii to my ears it sounds great.Go to there website and they will tell the difference between Cronus ii and iii.

I believe just an upgraded headphone and phono circuit.
