RME ADI 2DAC FS

I purchased recently my RME ADI 2DAC FS and could not obtain outline sound when I connect to my Auralic Altair DAC via USB output, cause I need to listen Auralic as a Streamer and RME ADI 2DAC FS as a dedicated DAC.

Anyone who owns Auralic and / or RME ADI 2DAC FS could help me?

@sacresta If this is what you have it doesn't have a digital output, so you cannot connect a DAC.

The model I have is not this.It’s not G1 model.

The model I have may connect USB cable to a dedicated DAC.

@sacresta Is it this one?

So switch everything off connect your USB cable to DAC slot and the other end to your DAC.

And of course remove your analogue ICs from the Auralic and put them in your new DAC.

Now switch Auralic on first and after it's settled down switch on the DAC and everything else.

If the DAC is not being recognized change your USB cable. It may be damaged or not have a power core.

If it's still not working plug a laptop into the DAC via USB input and see if that works. If it doesn't it's the cable. Windows laptop will need a driver installed for the DAC.

If the computer works your USB out on the Auralic maybe damaged.

Good Luck!

lordmelton,

This is exactly the one. The problem as that I didn’t configure the USB output in the Auralic Lightning for DAC.

Auralic Techical Suport help me.It’s solved.

I thank you very very much

Great you got it to work....  check your firmware , there was a firmware update in December.    If you have additional meter colors such as orange, red, and monochrome along with "Auto Off" then it has the latest features
