RIP Robert Lietz (Bob) - Analog Shop - Victor NY

Just wanted to share the news that Robert Lietz (Bob) owner of the Analog Shop in Victor NY near Rochester passed away suddenly this week.  Bob was a music staple in the Rochester area helping many people build great stereo systems.  As the name of his shop suggests Bob had a passion for Analog and sold many a turntable to vinyl lovers all over the country.  By chance I stopped by the shop last week to talk to him about some Mcintosh gear.  I am so glad I did since I was able to see my friend one last time.  I am sure that Bob is listening to a heavenly sound system as we speak.  Bob will be missed but not forgotten.

I’ve worked with Robert since 2010. Started with a REL Stadium II sub. 

As my ability to afford better gear grew, he was always there with solid practical advice. He even shipped gear to me while we were living in France. I will always remember him and his partner Scott, slumped on my couch after schlepiing a pair of Sonus Faber Il Cremonese up to my listening room over my garage. 
 

I miss him greatly.
