RIP David Crosby…

Almost Cut My Hair…

I was a true Byrds fan and loved Crosby’s voice but I did not know that he had a hint of Hollywood royalty in him. His father was an Oscar winning cinematographer, winning his Oscar ’way back in 1931. An obit in Daily Variety gave an interesting look at Crosby’s life. He got his start with the Byrds when he bulled his way into a jam session at the Troubadour in West Hollywood headed by up-and-coming folk rocker Jim McGuinn. Bob Dylan wrote kind words about Crosby in his memoir. I saw the Byrds perform as many times as I could. I saw Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young perform at the Greek Theater...or was it the Hollywood Bowl?
