Recordings I use for testing: Jennifer Warnes-Famous Blue Raincoat, Patricia Barber-Night Club, George Michael-Faith, Audiophile Collection -4-various artists, Getz and Gilberto-Girl from ipanema
Important aspect of sound: Non Fatiguing..so that I can have music playing all day long and not feel like I want to sut my system down
What is the worst thing a system could do to turn you off? artificial coloration and overly bright high frequencies.
I have had it for 18 months now. It is truly a wonderful preamp..very fluid..and nice detail... Build quality is OK. Poor aesthetics.
It is a great preamp for the money...and it matches my ARC VT100 MkII very well..I have the home theater bypass model
