The other thing to keep in mind about the Salon 2s is their low sensitivity, which results in their demand for high power. Their designer recommends amps of 500 watts or more, and while of course they'll play with less they really open up and come to life with very powerful amps. Their excellent beryllium tweeter is also very revealing, so not only does the amp have to be high power but very refined or they can sound hard and edgy. If you can't pair them with a well matched amplifier there may be better choices.
