Revel F36 or Dali Oberon 7

I’m sure it is. The bottom line will be how they sound in comparison to each other, right? Could be oranges to apples.  Maybe I’ll like the oranges maybe I’ll like the apples as the 60xtis were to the Dalis.  I paid the same price the both. It’s a. Interesting project.

I cant find the F36s anymore, it would have to be the F35s.  Thoughts?  Have you heard both?

I demo’s the B&Ws, they were a bit bright for my taste.  Man, this speaker chasing is tiring but fun too.  I’m on the hunt…

Well, I already purchased the Dali Oberon 7s.  They are arriving on Friday.  The plan is to do an a/b against the ML 60xti.  From there, I will return which ever ones I dont like.  The ML 60xti definitely fill up the room, they have much more output than my KEF R3 Metas, at least in my system they do.

Its sounding like I need to purchase a set of Revels as well.  I do have a couple REL TX/9s. 

Yeah, I got to make the best out of a $2K budget. 

I probably have 10 hours on them.  I did buy them new.  I have 15ft of space behind my listeninig position.  The speakers are 10.5 ft apart and I'm 10 ft away from them.  And yes, harsh is how I describe them.  I dont think its the tweeter alone, I believe its how the upper midrange is crossed over with the tweeter. They're just not my cup of tea.  I was heavily disappointed.  Honestly, and this is just my opinion. whoever thinks these have a smooth upper end, must be deaf. 

I'll let you know whether or not the Dali's are smoother. Definitely know by end of week.  

What did you replace the Motions 40's with?

Got the Oberon 7s hooked up. I like them better than 60xtis. The 60xtis are going back. Next I will get the F35s and compare them with the Oberon 7s. The winner stay and the search will be over. I’ll revisit the speaker situation in a couple years

We’ll see what’s sounds the best to me. I’m not concerned with economies of scale, just quality of music to my ears.
