Revel Concerta F12 vs. Monitor Audio RS6

I have listened to both of these speakers separately but never next to each other. Has anyone had an opportunity to compare these two or can share some insight with me? I am planning on just a two channel stereo for soft rock, classical and jazz vocalists in a large living room. Would like to hold on to one of them for a long time and am in the $1,000 price range.

Thanks!

I have never found the RS6s to be bright or fatiguing. Maybe I am fortunate to have paired them with a suitable amp. I am driving them with Quicksilver midmonos.
given your musical tastes, the revels will be more neutral and less fatiguing; you can't go wrong with 'em
The F-12's every day. I have mine next to Vandersteen 2ce sig, and the F-12's are open, and detailed.
Ive heard both and greatly prefer the F12, the RS6 were too bright/fatiguing to me.
I have, and I much preferred the RS6. I found the sound to be more refined with a fuller sound stage and better imaging. I am not just saying this, I bought the RS6.

The rs6 were also considerably smaller, have nicer real wood veneer finish and they were also less expensive (not by much).

I have had the rs6 for about 9 month now. Since buying them I auditioned many other speakers while shopping for a suitable tube amp, and I have not regretted my purchase one bit.

I listen mostly to jazz, classical and opera, with the occasional rock. All these genres sound great on the speakers.

I live in an open concept condo, my room is very large, 25' x 25' x 12' ceilings. About one quarter of the area is the listening area. Check out my system for details.

All of this said, I think your choice should come down to your own preference. Why don't you ask both shops for a take home audition, then you can compare them in your own space with all your own gear.

Good luck it is a tough choice (but a fun one!)
