Replacing the binding posts at Magnepan 1,7i

I have bought Cardas CCGR-S binding posts to replace the originals at my Meggie's 1,7i

The hole at original binding posts insulator are too small.

How best to solve that out technically?

Please help I do not want to do any nonsense.

Yep, I very slightly enlarged the holes in the speaker’s rear plate. On my Tympanis, the hex-shaped Magnepan connectors are secured to the plate with rear-mounted hex nuts; aren’t yours?

Yes, I removed the stock insulator and put the Cardas black plastic mounting block in it’s place. It is the short "nubs" on the backside of the Cardas block that are slightly larger than the stock holes in the Maggie plate. Though the Cardas binding posts are usable without the Cardas mounting block, it’s advisable to install the block as it prevents the posts from spinning when tightened.

Yes, they are secured to the plate with rear-mounted hex nuts also!

With which tool did you remove the stock insulator? It is fix well to the rear plate. I am affraid to demage the graphic on the rear plate. Did you connect wire direct to the Cardas post with soldering or did you enlarge the original O connector too and fix it to the Cardas post?
