noromance (really? none?)…anyway, I'm way into inexpensive well made stuff…actually I revel in that sort of thing, and I might actually buy one of those cables if only because they look pretty cool. Also, I've replaced AC cables in old guitar amps here and there as I hate being electrocuted (note also that you can't have electrocuted without "cute") and it's always worth it.

Has anyone ever upgraded power cables in an older amp to get a better AC connection?
Probably a really dumb question but can you purchase something inexpensive like a Pangea AC-14 and clip the IEC end off and install it into a high end (but vintage) non-IEC amplifier or pre amp without causing problems?
